Relay Selection for Improving Physical Layer Security in D2D Underlay Communications

نویسندگان

چکیده

This paper investigates the physical layer security of inband underlay Device-to-Device (D2D) communication, where direct link between D2D users is not available. In this respect, optimal relay and suboptimal selections are utilized to secure transmission. The eavesdropper uses either maximal-ratio combining or selection increase wiretapped signals. secrecy performance analysis performed regarding outage probability (SOP) non-zero capacity, closed-form expressions provided for both approaches verified using Monte-Carlo simulation. From numerical results, it shown that increasing number relays enhances communications. Moreover, exact asymptotic SOP provided. It turns out diversity order same.

D2D Communications with Enhanced Physical Layer Security in Cellular Networks

In this paper, we consider secure device-to-device (D2D) direct communication in cellular networks for wiretap channel. We assume that D2D transmitter sends its data to desired D2D receiver by reusing frequency resources originally allocated to the cellular link transmission between a base station (BS) and a cellular user. When there is a single eavesdropper (ED) in wiretap channel, we propose ...

Mode Selection and Spectrum Partition for D2D Inband Communications: A Physical Layer Security Perspective

This paper investigates from the physical layer security (PLS) perspective the fundamental issues of mode selection and spectrum partition in cellular networks with inband device-to-device (D2D) communication. We consider a mode selection scheme allowing each D2D pair to probabilistically switch between the underlay and overlay modes, and also a spectrum partition scheme where the system spectr...

Relay and jammer selection schemes for improving physical layer security in two-way cooperative networks

This paper is concerned with the relay and jammers selection in two-way cooperative networks to improve their physical layer security. Three different categories of selection schemes are proposed which are; selection schemes without jamming, selection schemes with conventional jamming and selection schemes with controlled jamming. The selection process is analyzed for two different network mode...

Effective Optimization Criteria and Relay Selection Algorithms for Physical-Layer Security in Multiple-Antenna Relay Networks

Physical-layer security for wireless networks has become an effective approach and recently drawn significant attention in the literature. In particular, the deployment and allocation of resources such as relays to assist the transmission have gained significant interest due to their ability to improve the secrecy rate of wireless networks. In this work, we examine relay selection criteria with...

Physical Layer Security for Multiuser MIMO Communications

Wireless multi-user MIMO communications are used more and more often to exchange sensitive data. Because of the broadcast nature of the physical medium, unauthorized receivers located within the transmission range can observe the signals sent by the transmitter to a legitimate receiver and eavesdrop them. Therefore, security has become an extremely important issue to deal with. Multiuser MIMO c...
